Java Developer Job Description:

•Develop and support Java/J2EE applications for stand-alone and web-based environments, and portlet applications for WebSphere portal environment  
•Develop and support content management solutions for WCM (WebSphere Content Management)
•Interact with internal and external team members and provide technical solutions for the project
•Participate in various requirements session and convert business/functional requirements into technical solutions
•Provide cross functional support for testing, help desk, and training teams
•Communicate with the project management team efficiently 
 
Required Skills & Experience
 
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
•7-8 years of experience leading large complex J2EE integration projects
•Solid experience in J2EE Technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJB, WebServices)
•Good breadth of technical experience including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services, XML, Java and databases
•Strong understanding of JSR 168/286 portlet specification
•Experience in developing portlet applications for WebSphere Portal Server (WPS) using Rational Application Developer (RAD)
•Experience in developing dynamic web content using WebSphere Content Management (WCM)
•Understanding of Portal Security Personalization (PZN) and related portal services
•Experience using J2EE frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, JSF and Struts
•Experience in web technologies such as CSS, JavaScript including web 2.0 frameworks such as jQuery, Dojo
•Good understanding of SDKs and APIs. Ability to code java programs using different SDKs and interfacing with different applications
•Experience in writing Unix Shell scripts
•Able to rationalize architectural/design decisions in an objective manner
•RDMS experience in MSSQL/Oracle or any other DB
•Experience integrating enterprise technology platforms
•Solid command of OOD principles/design patterns using Java/J2EE
•Strong communication, presentation skills
 
Desired Skills & Experience
 
•Minimum of 8+ years of experience with Object Oriented Programming
•Excellent written and oral communication
•Experience in CMS or healthcare projects
