Job Description:

Description: Summary: Responsible for designing and developing test scripts using various scripting languages for Mobile Testing and the use of Automation.

Education/Experience:

--Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field
--5-7 years experience Testing Application on Multiple Mobile Devices
--Applied experience in facilitating business requirements documentation, creating test scripts, executing test scripts, logging defects, and performing regression analysis
--Experience with hotel/leisure/travel industries - preferred

Skills and Competencies:

--Must have front end UI testing experience
--Must have Ad Hoc testing experience
--Ability to work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
--5+ years experience specifically testing Mobile Applications
--Experience w/applications testing on mobile devices/handsets especially Windows Phone 7, Blackberry, iPhone and Android
--Experience Browser Testing on Mobile Devices
--Ability to define and execute test cases for mobile applications
--Applied experience in facilitating business requirements documentation, creating test scripts, executing test scripts, logging defects, and performing regression analysis
--Agile/Scrum experience a must
--Rally experience a must
--Create, Modify, and Execute Selenium a must (Knowledge with Cucumber, FitNesse, Frank, Sikuli - A plus)
--Applied experience with use of Mercury TestDirector/Quality Center
--Must be results oriented, self motivated, and have the ability to take ownership for QA responsibilities.
--Experience testing Mobile Applications in multiple languages
--Knowledge of mobile architecture including client/server technology
--Peer-to-peer networking, cloud-based & web-based services
--Experience with database Architecture and SQL queries
--Person needs to be proactive. And have excellent communication skills
--Basic knowledge of iTunes, Google marketplace, Windows App Hub and BB appworld
--Some experience with testing on emulators and different devices and platforms (BB, Androids and Iphone/Ipad) a plus
--Experience with hotel/leisure/travel industries a plus.
--Strong knowledge of testing disciplines and methodologies
--Knowledge of Client/Server Architecture
--Experience with database Architecture and SQL queries
--Knowledge of Web Services testing -preferred
--Familiar with monitoring network logs - preferred
--Strong documentation skills
--Analytical thinker, detailed oriented
--Interpersonal skills
--Strong problem solving skills

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

--Work with QA Analysts and Developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality
--Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) by participating in scope assessment, risk and cost analysis
--Deliver effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, and adhering to development and quality standards
--Analyze the testing needs and develop testing strategy and plans
--Review test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures such as database impacts, software scenarios or usability.
--Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness and/or to mitigate risks
--Ensure application documentation is complete and maintained/ updated in a timely fashion
