Position : Linux / UNIX Administrator --- (NO H1B)
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
The ideal candidate has to be a self-starter who is proactive and self-motivated to achieve operational excellence.
We are looking for an Advanced Level Linux/ UNIX System Administrator who is versatile technically, has the aptitude to increase technical breadth, and the attitude and personality to support a world class growing organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage all production, and associated services
First response resolution of all production related problem reports
Triage/assess/communicate technical issues
Problem ticket creation, processing and queue management
Able to create/revise documentation thoroughly for tactical use and training
Follow all documented processes and procedures
Escalate all site issues utilizing documented escalation matrix
Provide timely feedback on process/procedural improvements and operational inefficiencies
Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site features and functions
Responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, tooling automation and maintenance of the infrastructure.
Collaborate with peers in operations and product development to develop and support solutions that meet growing business demands.
Reqs: BS (or equiv.) + 5 yrs exp.
Experience with operating in Amazon EC2.
Knowledge of chef or some other configuration management system.
