Position : Systems Test Engineer

Must Haves :
3+ years experience with 2G or GSM
3+ years experience,3G or UMTS
3+ years experience 4G or LTE
Verification and Validation testing, creating test plans and test cases
Experience with the LTE Protocol Stack and knowledge of the physical layer (ability to understand loggings and the reasons for the failures and propose solutions to development teams)
Experience of Modem testing (Test Equipment Used: agilent 8960, Anritsu/RTD Anite)
Knowledge of the UMTS frequency bands
BS Degree

Role
Our client is looking for experienced Software Test Engineer with past experience on a system test team within the telecom industry. These Engineers will not simply be testing the devices, but will need to be able to decode, understand, and explain the findings and reasons for failures and propose solutions to the development team. The majority will be testing and verifying GCF and 3G PT, as well as sale and protocol interactions. It will be a mixture of European base stations with 3G standards. This means that there will be specific physical interactions to prompt the device to connect to the network. Each resource must have previous experience in 2g and 3g networking and 4g experience is strongly preferred; as well as a deep understanding of UMTS/WCDMA air interfaces. The 2G/3G/4G protocol stack in depth knowledge is an absolute must.
