Title: Data Modeler – SAS Insurance Data Model

Location: Scarborough, ME

Contract

Technical/Functional Skills	:	Develops the Enterprise Logical Data Model (LDM) & Physical Data Model (PDM). Facilitates JAD sessions to determine data rules, and holds LDM Reviews with Data SMEs Worked with & has a good understanding of  Insurance Analytics Architecture & SAS Insurance Data Model (LDM & PDM) Applies client Standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository, and documents data model translation decisions Master (experienced) in using Erwin Knowledge of IT architectural concepts and frameworks Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels Experience in SAS 9.3 EBI, EG, DI, Fraud Framework, Visual Analytics is nice to have
Experience Required		At least 5-7 years experience in Teradata & Oracle Database data modeling At least 1 year experience in using SAS Insurance Analytics Architecture & SAS Insurance Data Model At least 3 years experience in using various data modeling tools such as Erwin Designed the technology framework for conceptualizing and implementing data models in SAS or Teradata
Roles & Responsibilities	:	Should be proficient in DB concepts i.e. purely a database person who can write the SQL queries, tune, optimize it etc. if required Database experience in Teradata & Oracle Review data architectures and designs of source application systems and the target Database Responsible for recommending schema designs, dimensional model, E-R models Responsible for conceptual, logical and physical data modeling using SAS Insurance data model Experience with dimensional modeling Performs business and application analysis and design. Understands, uses, and articulates solution delivery framework
Generic Managerial Skills	:	Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Ability to manage difficult situations within tight project time frames Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change Ability to allocate time efficiently, handling multiple demands and competing priorities Strong problem solving skills and analytical ability
Education	:	Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in analytics, informatics, computer science, programming
