Need - Software Engineer with Perl and SVN -Local to Folsom, CA - 12-18 Months Contract

Location: Folsom, CA (LOCAL)
Duration: 12-18 months

Job Description:
The software engineer will assist the architecture team in designing, coding, and testing efficiency improvements to an existing performance projection toolset. The toolset is mostly coded in Perl,
runs in a distributed Windows computing environment (Condor), and interfaces with Excel and an internal Intel tool to act as calculation engines. The immediate need is to improve some of the
automated reporting capabilities; beyond that, there's a backlog of fixes to make the tools easier to use, faster to run, capable of generating more/different kinds of output, and more difficult to use incorrectly.
Required Skills
Years of experience required: 7:
Perl
Excel
Subversion ("SVN" – a version control system)
Preferred Skills:
Visual Basic Automation for Excel
ActiveState Perl
Database design and interfacing
Experience w/Condor distributed computing infrastructure
Degree Required
Type: Bachelor's CompSci or (Master's preferred)
