Title: Backend QA Tester with java development background

Duration: 6 months

Location: Cambridge, MA

 

Job Description:

 

We are looking for a skilled Backend QA Tester. The ideal QA analyst will have come from a java development background (coding experience) and have extensive experience with back-end testing (Unix, API, web services).

 

Technical Skills

Perl

Python

XML

SQL

Java in a Unix (Preferably LINUX) environment

Test Scripts - in Perl and/or Python specifically for testing purposes

Test Cases

Test Plans

Test Strategy

Backend Testing (required)

 

Project Description

 

In this role, the consultant will be responsible for testing from the backend of the application by exercising the application through a series of developed scripts in Perl/Python/XML/SQL/Java.

They will also be responsible for creating additional test scripts, which create a tool for them to use in this testing.

 

The person must have the ability to think through and document multiple (potential) test scenarios with their corresponding test cases/scripts where requirements are not formally documented.  SQL skills above the typical select statements will be needed such as joins, stored procedures, triggers among other commands is a MUST have.
