Interview Mode- Telephonic Followed by F2F for Local & Skype for Non Local REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Certified MySQL Database Administrator with 5+ years experience in HA/DR (High Availability/Disaster Recovery)
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience (5+ years) in configuring, administering, and maintaining MySQL database environments.
- The DBA candidate must have administration experience and skills on MySQL/Oracle/MSSQL database running on Windows/Unix; and have extensive and demonstrated experience on relational databases administration running on Unix/Linux/Windows environments.
Job description - Review/Document Implementation Plan
- Review and assess the current documentation and environment
- To separate the production from non-production databases.
- Document upgrade, migration and patch management strategies and priorities.
- Identify and document best practice for the current environment, for backup and recovery; high availability (HA); disaster recovery (DR); account management.
- Development/Test/ Staging Environment
- Establish and document standards and conventions
- Implement the new planned redundant, scalable environment.
- Implement and test backup/recovery strategy
- Support Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and adhering to the software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
- Identify and document best practice for the current environment, for backup and recovery; high availability (HA); disaster recovery (DR); account management.
- Production Environment
- Work with application team on establishing/migration/testing databases to the new environment
- Implement production deployment
- Implement additional monitoring procedures
- Implement additional backup procedures
- Implement/test in ACF Failover test
- Documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Deliverables
- Design/Architecture design/Implementation document
- Backup/Recovery Plan and scripts
- Upgrade/Migration/Patching Plan document
- Health and Performance Monitoring Plan and procedure
- Disaster Recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) plan
