THIS IS A 3-6 MONTH+ CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY IN DOWNTOWN BOSTON, MA.

Job description:

Our client is in the process of building out an EDW and BI reporting environment with Netezza and Business Objects 4.0 respectively. Our client needs and extra set of hands to help with the ETL work associated with this large project. The ideal candidate must have excellent experience in Informatica ETL development and excellent knowledge and experience with DW concepts. The candidate must have experience with source to target mappings and moving information from various data sources to a data warehouse (Netezza). There are roughly 10 different data sources (ERP, Essbase, CRM, SQL, Access, Oracle, flat files, web services, etc.) This is a senior level position with customer interaction and the ability to help implement best practices for a very complex BI/DW environment.

Responsibilities:

• Data integration development within Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange v. 9.1
• Develop and maintain Informatica PowerCenter solutions
• Ability to write Unix Scripts
• Performance tuning, Unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting with PowerCenter
• Design and develop complex Informatica ETL processes that integrate data from Oracle and SQL
• Work with a job scheduler application to design and schedule Informatica workflows (Autosys)
• Understand and write complex Oracle SQL statements

Required Experience:

Informatica 9.1

DW concepts (Slowly changing dimensions, Incremental aggregation)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
