SAP consulting in a support environment, Blue Print and Specification of new business processes - - - -
Knowledge Requirements:
Must know SAP WM and SAP LE, master data, customizing, and user level transactions
Must be able to at least read ABAP code and use the SAP ABAP debugger.
Must know SAP Project System
Other relevant SAP utilities (Query, Report Builder, Smart Forms, LSMW, Authorizations, etc…). - - - - - -
Experience Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing environment with direct business user support.
Experience at multiple SAP installations would be good but not required.
Experience with on a new SAP implementation (full customization, data migration, etc…).
Experience in outsourcing projects utilizing Logistics Service Providers – would be nice but not
required.
Experience in designing custom solutions (when standard SAP is not sufficient or the current solution
is already highly customized) to meet a business need – highly recommended but not required. - - - - - -
Core Skill Set:
Design, configuration, and testing for projects in an SAP environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and support existing SAP and related systems.
Ability to write documentation at all levels (system specifications, configuration documentation,
etc…).
Must be fluent in English in both speaking and writing. - - - - - -
Education / Other:
College degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
MBA or similar would be desirable.
Minimum of 10 year experience in SAP environments in US-based or international companies. - - - - - - -
Responsible for documenting the "to-be" processes, defining performance metrics, and identifying and resolving process gaps. Has a strong understanding and experience in the SAP methodology used by the organization. Responsible for mapping the business processes to SAP (often in conjunction with consultants) and participates in user acceptance testing. Often is involved in the creation of documentation and training materials, and may deliver training during implementation. May also act in a system support role immediately after implementation. Incumbents in this position come from the business, are experts in that business function, and have an understanding of the business processes of the function they represent. They also serve as a liaison to the business during implementation, gathering additional information when needed and keeping the business informed regarding the implementation. Bachelor's Degree in function represented in the business. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 - 9 years of business experience.
