they are a software company specializing in retail solutions and they just developed some new products and solutions basically- and they since they have new customers signed up-they will need help in getting this product out the door.. it is all MSBI based and there is plenty of work
- Good understanding of OLAP Cube concepts, design, implementation, and tuning
- Good knowledge of MDX queries
- Average knowledge of RDBMS design/implementation/tuning
- Good hands-on experience with mid-size data warehouse environments
- Limited experience with a programming language such as Java
- Average skills in small-team project management
Job Description:
*Looking for a strong MSBI expert to help us develop a large-scale analytics tool for retailers using POS/supply chain data*
- 7+ yrs of IT, 5+ yrs in MSBI stack with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
- Work on OLAP systems with large datasets, preferably in retail, e-business, supply chain or e-commerce
- Ability to do requirements, design, development, test planning, testing and production deployment/support
- Experience of designing and deploying large scale data warehouses - data modeling, schema design, script development, data warehouse design and query optimization
- Strong ETL background with MSBI environment
- Experience developing OLAP cubes, SSAS engine and MDX queries
- Query tuning experience; familiarity with execution plan tuning, I/O tuning, cache tuning, data clustering.
- Java/J2EE or C#/.Net programming experience
- Experience of project management, estimation, team management and client communication will be a plus
