Requirement Title | GLOMARK_374 - SQL Server Business Analyst/Developer - Parsippany, NJ . | Description | LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED AS WILL NEED TO GO IN PERSON AFTER A PHONE INTERVIEW SQL Server Business Analyst/Developer Location: Parsippany, NJ Duration: 6+ Months Pay Rate: MARKET Interview Process: Phone then in-person SQL Server Business Analyst/Developer to provide technical application consulting to business users and recommend software solutions in response to their business requirements. The candidate will work closely with the development and support teams to provide IT support to the business. He/she will be responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, and testing. He/she will also work with our third party software vendors to evaluate product features, to coordinate projects and enhancements, to test their software, and to troubleshoot software issues. The candidate will manage small to medium projects, creating and maintaining project plans. He/she will also work with the technical team to test service packs, system updates/patches, upgrades and modifications. Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related discipline with an Information Technology focus;
- 5+ years of proven Systems Analysis, QA, and Development experience using MS SQL Server 2005/2008 and reporting tools; a SQL DBA background is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of vendor management experience.
- The candidate must have a verifiable track record of hands-on requirements analysis, testing, and SQL script development. The candidate will interact with the business users to collect requirements, present technical solutions, prepare test plans, and follow the organization's SDLC. Many of the supported applications are third party software vendor applications, which will require solid vendor management, as well as project coordination skills. The majority of the applications are SQL 2008; therefore prior work experience with SQL applications is required. A SQL DBA background is a strong plus. The candidate will act as the primary backup for the Lead Business Analyst/Project Manager on the team.
Overview of responsibilities: · Gather, document, review, analyze, and evaluate business requirements. · Document functional specifications, system design, test plans, test cases, scripts, and results. Conduct the necessary testing and obtain IT management and business user approvals. · Participate in the scope definition, project planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing of assigned project(s).
