Primary Skills : LINUX, Applications Developer/ DBA (Oracle or Postgres)
Location : Provo
Rate : DOE, # of Positions : 3, Duration : long term TOMAX to hire
Description :
Experience performing manual, rpm-based, and/or yum-based roll-out/maintenance processes;
Professional experience using PL/SQL or SQL Plus, and practical experience with stored procedures/packages;
Experience working with external customer production environments, working through difficult technical issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism;
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to promote a collaborative team-based work environment;
Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and prioritizing skills;
Ability to manage an active open -ticked queue, while also being assigned new tickets on a daily basis; and
Ability to participate in a 24/7 rotating weekly-on-call schedule (our goal being 1 week in 6 or better).
Desirable: Some experience with and/or a willingness to learn:
Oracle (9i/10g/11g)/PostGres Database administration;
Database import/export operations and replication procedures;
Oracle/JBOSS Application Server;
Java-based applications support;
Routine Shell scripting tasks (e.g. space control / log maintenance); and
Familiarity with applications running on a Cloud-based infrastructure and virtual machines.
