Job Title                        :  Websphere Portal Developer

Work Location              :  Washington DC.

 

Technical/Functional Skills             :          

 

Must-have technical skills

-          Minimum 8 years of solid development experience in Java using WAS/WPS, for Large Enterprise (10,000+) with branch offices connecting from high, low bandwidth.

-          Demonstrated experience supporting mission critical production applications using WAS/WPS.

-          Strong knowledge in, develop/deploy/production support, Enterprise Themes, Portlets, caching using WPS v6+

-           

-          Strong knowledge in, develop/deploy/production support, Enterprise web applications using Java/JSP/Servlet in WAS

-          Strong knowledge on JQuery and similar JavaScript web framework is a must.

-          Demonstrated knowledge developing websites adhering to OWASP specification.

-          Extensive experience with leading technologies and languages, including but not limited to JSON, RSS, XML, XSL, HTML(5), XHTML, CSS(3), LDAP and Unicode, is a must.

-          Strong knowledge on caching, at application and various others layers, in the http request/response.

-          Demonstrated knowledge in Content Management Systems.

-          Strong knowledge on Metadata, Content types, Attributes, List, Branding, Workflow (Series, Parallel)

Demonstrated knowledge on the authentication concepts, using  Netegrity-Siteminder.

 

 

-          Roles & Responsibilities     :           Portal Development using Websphere Portal, Middle-tier integration of multiple back-end system.

-          Extensively worked in development of intranet and external site

.
