MS SQL Server Developer/DBA

6-12 months contract

Job Description:

Experience on Design, Development and Maintenance of Database using tools of MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 as a Developer.

Experienced in Installing, Upgrading and Configuring of Microsoft SQL Server and Databases 

Proficient in SQL Server and T-SQL (DDL and DML) in constructing Tables, Normalization techniques on database Tables

Expertise in creating and using Stored Procedures, Views, User Defined Functions

 Developed complex T SQL code for Customer Imports and other interfaces

Modified the existing database by adding the tables and maintained relationships between the tables.

Used complex query statements like sub queries, correlated queries, derived tables, CASE functions to insert the data depending on the criteria into the tables of hub.

Enhanced the business logic using User Defined Functions to retrieve information on the services like billing, customer, and requests from the residential, business and large business databases.

Created Database Objects like Tables, Linked Servers, Indexes, Views, User defined functions, Cursors,

Triggers, Stored Procedure, Constraints and Roles, in SQL Server 2005/2008

Enhanced the business logic using User Defined Functions and Stored Procedures to retrieve information on the services like billing, customer, and requests from the customers.

Created SSIS Packages using Lookup, Merge, Sort, Derived Columns, Condition Split, Aggregate, Execute SQL Task, Data Flow Task, Execute Package Task etc to generate underlying data for the reports and to export cleaned data from Excel, Text file and MS Access to different data Marts.

Configured SQL Mail Agent for sending automatic mail.

Successfully tested all tasks in staging and stored all versions of SQL scripts using VSS..

Responsible for creating Databases, Tables, Clustered, Non-Clustered Indexes, Unique/Check

Constraints Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Rules and Defaults

Used DBCC commands to check physical and logical consistency of the databases and Rebuild indexes.

Used SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to migrate data from Oracle databases to SQL server

2005/2008 and vice versa

Responsible for planning database Migration and migrate databases to new hardware for databases

Involved in 24X7 web applications
