Position: LEAD Java Developer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Tampa, FL.

Core requirements – Lead experience. Open source stack---- Java, Spring and Hibernate.

Overview:

The Global Liquidity Engine ("GLE") concept was created to help position the client to deliver forward looking products tailored to a client's liquidity management strategies.  The GLE provides a means to:

·         Respond to a rapidly changing regulatory environment

·         Optimize the client's product portfolio in response to Basel III requirements and other market changes

·         Strengthen our global investment alternatives

·         Enhancing and extending the client's product offering to support clients from a global perspective.

 

The GLE will contain a new suite of business services (global calculation and rules processing logic) integrating with and leveraging existing International and US Liquidity Applications.  The intent is for GLE to gather global client information (e.g. account balances or client rules) and leverage the existing back office to process on a global basis. 

 

The Application Lead position will be part of an Agile software team focused on working closely with clients and other stakeholders. A qualified candidate will work with the Architects, Principal Engineers and the Business Community to identify requirements and develop solutions

Requirements:

•        7-9 years of overall experience. Experience in a lead role, both on and off shore members.

•        Experience with banking applications, Basel frameworks a PLUS.

·         Deep experience with an Open Source  technology stack

o   Spring (Spring MVC, Spring Core, AOP functionality, BeanFactory, Spring Web Services etc)

o   Hibernate as the ORM

o   Strong Core Web Services knowledge(WSDL) Experience with RESTful helpful, but if they have SOAP that is acceptable. JAXWS,JAXRS or JSON is helpful

·         Agile methodology expertise a plus.

·         Proficient with SQL

·         General OO principles. Patterns, Code refactoring techniques etc

•        Experience on high availability, internationalized applications with a large user base.

•        Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
