Position : Application Architect (Data warehouse)

Location : Hartford,CT

Duration : Long term

Skills & Responsibilities: 

·         APPLICATION ARCHITECT - INFORMATICS candidate must have design and architecture experience with DATA WAREHOUSE, ETL and BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE and experience with LARGE DATABASES and a grasp of general Design Patterns and industry standard architectural principles related to data warehouse environments.

·         Practical knowledge of DataStage and Business Objects is a plus, but not required.

·         Conceptual knowledge of UML techniques and RSM tool is desired, but not required.

·         Candidate should demonstrate knowledge of data integration, data mapping, and data conformance conceptually.

·         Knowledge of key architectural principles surrounding data warehousing are required.

·         Experience architecting, developing, deploying and supporting large scale computing applications across multiple operating systems, languages, and vendor middleware is necessary.

·         Proven project experience and ability to lead a group through an architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects, Business and other project constituents.

·         Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition.

·         Healthcare or Insurance/Financial services industry knowledge is preferred, but not required. Medical Management experience is a plus.

·         Strong business/technology decision making skills.

·         Prior experience in a technical leadership role.

·         Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, Strong leadership skills to effectively influence decisions and positively impact progress
