Java Developer in Fort Collins, CO

 

GOAL:
Obtain a Java-Developer-Resource to assist the VS SS&D development team. The person will assist in code analysis, development, and testing for a variety of tasks on a variety of software products. The person must be able to take direction in a changing environment.
 
TASKS:
Evaluate the Java Interface to CSM as produced in SOA contract
                Locate the code, Deploy to development environment, Test it,  Assist in determining usability
Assist ADTIS Java developers:
                Perform low-level development tasks for high priority items
                Resolve "production" ClearQuest tickets
Resolve non-ADTIS  production issues: Address tickets in ClearQuest for  VSLS
Support VSPS:
                Create release files , Fix problems with the release
Assist with ICAM development tasks
Change Java code, perform unit tests
Create Technical documentation;  document what they do on assigned tasks, time permitting
document existing software where most needed
 
PRIMARY SKILLS:
Java 1.2 – 1.6, Hibernate, Spring, Struts,  Javascript, SQL, Oracle Database, 7-10 years software development experience, minimum 3 years Java development experience
Outgoing, communicative, good writing skills, SDLC experience, unit testing experience,
Additional Skills:
                                JAX-WS Web Services

                Complete the OID to CSM conversion in a shorter time period
                Provide support to our current Production systems
                Complete the ADTIS Web Service Translator in a shorter period of time
 
EVALUATION PERIOD:
The person's performance will be evaluated during the first 45 days. If they do not meet our expectations, we will terminate the individual from working for us. Then, another individual will be found to fulfill our requirements.
 
We will evaluate how well they complete tasks on-time, communicate effectively, test properly, code to acceptable coding practices, demonstrate technology skills as advertised, and are compatible with existing team members.
