On Long Island must drive. 

 

Oracle DBA:

The job would entail the following

• Working with developers to tune SQL procedure, packages, functions & triggers
• Working with developers to figure out the best solution (performance & resiliency) for the product deliverables
• Layout and design new Schema as required to fit the needs of the applications
• Monitor, tune, backup and restore development, QA & Load Test databases
• Install, create, patch and upgrade database as needed
• Assist production DBA's for releases as needed
• Knowledge about Tuning, RAC, replication, DataGuard, RMAN, Data-Pump, Export/Import, Data Modeling, Networking, Solaris, Linux, Tibco, Java
