Job Title: JAVA J2EE Web Services Developer

Location: New Carrollton, MD

Duration: 10+ Months Contract

Duties:

•              Direct responsibility and ownership developing and deploying components or complete application functionality using Rational Tools in J2EE environments – 50%

•              Documenting and diagramming application functionality using Use Case Modeling tools – 10%

•              Designing in collaboration with Software Architecture and other peer developers; software components from business requirements – 10%

•              Provide support to technical team, write the necessary required documentation as per the IRS development methodology for J2EE components – 10%

•              Coordinate, plan, communicate, develop and review client presentations and documentation required under the IRS Enterprise Lifecycle – 10%

•              Work with the ACA application interface team to understand the IRS EAIB broker, Java Shared APIs and the architecture of the application. -10%

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Suppliers, please note these are the top technical skills that the Buyer feels a candidate MUST have. General knowledge of basic office software such as MS Office Suite.

 

1. Demonstrated experience in Java and J2EE technologies and framework. Proven experience developing and integrating backend systems in an Enterprise Environment – 10 years

1.             2. Demonstrated experience in Web Services, SOAP, WebMethods and XML - 7 years

2.             3. In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle – 5 years

3.             4. Hands-on knowledge and experience with Eclipse, Ant, Hibernate, Spring, BuildForge, Log4i, JUnit and Rational Tools – 5 years

4.             5. Experience using the Oracle Database – 3 years

 

NOTE: This is a combination remote/work at home and Client office position. Depending on the needs of the business, the developer may need to work at the cloentg in New Carrollton, MD 50% of the time.

 

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

Suppliers, please note these are nice to have skills. It does not preclude a candidate who does not possess all or some of these skills from the selection process but this could be used as a differentiator between candidates.

1.             1. Active IRS Medium Risk MBI clearance

2.             2. IRS system and data knowledge experience

3.             3. Healthcare system experience

4.             4. Massively parallel database experience

5.             5. Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning techniques

6.             6. Experience with JMS, MQSeries, and Shell scripting

7.             7. Experience developing with MQSeries and XML

8.             8. Experience working with ER/Objects/Dimensional/UML modeling concepts
