Role:COBOL Developer 

Location: COLUMBUS, Ohio 

Duration: 6 month

EED to have Ventyx Experience! 

Another outstanding, long term opportunity with a Fortune 500 client in Columbus, OH!

Responsible for developing program specifications and building complex or multiple applications/systems at an advanced level using current technology and industry standard tools. Responsibilities include software coding, component assembly, testing, test planning, debugging, maintenance, and support. Participate and lead applications/systems development reviews, and direct applications/systems development assignments. Demonstrate advanced level problem solving, decision-making.

This resource should have a working knowledge of: 

- COBOL 

- CICS 

- DB2 

- JCL 

- TSO Tools 

- Ventyx Asset Suite -optional but very nice to have.

This resource should be able to communicate with the DB2 DBAs, CICS, UDB DataJoiner and MQ Series support personnel and other PassPort analysts/developers. 

It would be useful to have an understanding of Lotus Notes. 

It is important that this resource be able to start being productive almost immediately with minimal training

Highly Desirable: 

Experience with Ventyx Compose toolsets and Hyperservice Studio 

Experience / knowledge of a SOA based integration 

EAI knowledge / experience 

Previous experience with the clients EAS systems integration.
