Title: Java Architect

Location: Brooklyn , NY

Duration: 6 Months

 

Note: Face 2 Face after Telephonic

 

Req Details:

Mandatory Qualifications:

•             A minimum of 8 years experience in leading development teams

•             A minimum of 8 years experience in Java/J2EE development for large-scale enterprise applications

•             Ability to plan technical architecture and develop documentation;

·                     Strong knowledge of data integration technologies and processes;

•             Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources;

·                     Must have experience in architecting J2EE applications

o             MDB experience

o             Content management experience

·                     Experience with relational databases preferably Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server

·                     Solid experience in XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD);

·                     Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques

·                     Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made;

·                     Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project;

·                     Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance

·                     Must be able to provide documentation on their work

 

Desirable Skill/Expertise              

·                     Prior government project experience (NYC strongly preferred).

·                     Prior experience with public-facing Web applications

·                     Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis methodologies

·                     A Bachelors or Masters degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is desired;
