Job Description
Must Have Skills:
• Should have 6 to 10 years of total experience with at least 5 years in WebSphere Commerce development / administration.
• Strong skills in WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Commerce
• administration and development required
• Strong knowledge of n-tiered web application and architecture required
• Strong WebSphere Application Server & Commerce troubleshooting and problem solving skills required
• Experience in WebSphere Commerce and major subsystems: (Subsystems: Member, Order, Catalog)
• Expertise in MVC framework, WC Command framework and key Architecture patterns
• Advanced Programming Skills in Java, Javascript, JSP, taglibs, CSS, EJB, Struts
• Experience in WebSphere Commerce Authentication
• Experience in WebSphere Configuration
• Strong knowledge in Databases (DB2, Oracle) required.
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
• Support the design, development, installation, configuration, customization and administration of WebSphere Commerce Application Server and its components.
• Developing component-based, service-oriented Web application framework using J2EE and WebSphere Commerce platform and work with business analysts and architects to ensure functional requirements are met.
• Implementing and configuring key subsystems of WebSphere Commerce Enterprise or WebSphere Commerce Professional for Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) eCommerce sites from requirements analysis through deployment
• Implementing the Extended Sites model and the different store models within the framework
• Configuring and customizing subsystems such as Catalog management, Trading, Order Management, Member management subsystem.
• Developing front-end components, use of WCS tag libraries, and comfortable developing WCS EJB, access and databeans
• Working with cross functional and distributed teams to perform QA activities
• Coordinate with the Infrastructure & Development Teams for all the necessary administrative tasks pertaining to the eCommerce platforms and applications. Examples include (1) Publishing a sample starter store, configuring it, and verifying that it is working (2) Using administrative tools and writing scripts to extend the tools if
• necessary (3) Enabling and configuring payments framework (4) Configuring WebSphere Commerce messaging transports and site security (5) Loading data into WebSphere Commerce databases
