Teradata Architect
Hourly Rate: Open but competitive rates
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 12 months.
Teradata Architect with solid 8+ years' experience in designing/ developing large Data warehouse Solutions .Experience in complex data structures, and modeling.

- Experience in design and development of Teradata solutions from requirements to deployment.
- Extensive experience Designing/ developing the semantic layer, with proven success in performance tuning.
- Must have solid communication skills – able to communicate technical options succinctly with pros and cons, to less technical teams.
- Experience on projects using Cognos 8 or Cognos 10 as the end user reporting tool a plus.
Role Expectations:
- Design up front for performance to ensure limited enhancements once user query testing begins
- Develop Data Models - utilizing Erwin for the data modeling of staging and 3NF for the DW.
- Develop the Semantic Layers to work together (Cognos FWM and Teradata Views)
- Orchestrate and test business queries to validate solid models early and through testing/performance improvements in Teradata
- Provide data model/query technical leadership to the Cognos developers (FWM, Queries, Aggregations, calculations, etc.)
- Performance tune the working solutions both in Teradata and Cognos as appropriate
