Position: Oracle Apps DBA 11i/R12          Duration: 6 months+      Location: San Jose, CA

***The candidate must be at least 70% Apps skill set in ERP release 12 and 30% Core DBA***

* 5-10 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
* 2-4 years as Prod DBA exp with 24/7 support

* Database installs
* Database patching and upgrades
* Backups and recoveries using RMAN integrated with Netback up
* OEM and Grid Control

Oracle Core DBA Responsibilities

4 years hands-on experience with database development and administration required. Advanced degree preferred.

Extensive DBMS tuning including expert level skills with Oracle SQL and PL-SQL.

Demonstrable experience implementing solutions in Oracle 10g and 9i environments.

Proven experience with Oracle performance tuning tools, including SQL Trace, TKPROF, PERFSTAT, and OEM.

Thorough understanding of physical databases in Oracle including: table partitioning, clustering, materialized views, b-tree, and bitmap indexes.

Strong technical communication skills. Ability to maintain focus in *crisis* situations and within a fast paced production internet environment.

Exceptionally proficient in written technical communication including experience with functional descriptions and technical design documents

Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software

Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL

Approve all production schema changes

Approve changes to database design

Control all migrations of Oracle schema objects

Design and implement a backup & recovery system

Implement Oracle failover technology

Oracle Application DBA Responsibilities

11i Oracle Applications Installation (Single-node Installation / Multi-node Installation)

Strong understanding of 11i Oracle E-Business Suite Architecture ( Oracle Applications Environment , Oracle Applications File System , config options etc)

Familiar with 11i Use Oracle Applications Utilities (AD Administration, Special Utilities, AutoConfig, License Manager, Reporting Utilities, Configuration Utilities)

Experience with Patch and Maintenance (Patch Wizard, Auto Patch, OAM Timing Reports, OAM Applied Patches)

Familiar with Cloning / Rapid Clone
