US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Business Analyst with Licensing Exp - Laurel, MD - 6 months

Role: Business Analyst with licensing experience  

Location: Laurel,MD

Duration: 6 Months Contract

 

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

i) Project Management: The Analyst will work within the IT Security and Compliance Division to   manage all activities, evaluate quality of deliverables, and escalate Project issues.
 

ii) Project Start up: Determine detailed project scope, objectives, time line and management requirements.
 

iii) Discovery: Identify available information, documentation and support staff.
 
- obtain documentation and conduct interviews
- document the license management process, information stores, technologies employed and staff involved
- check the presence and version of software installed and maintenance/ support contracts in-place
- review and confirm the "as-is" state
  

iv)  Create, Review and confirm the "to-be" state

- interview management, other stakeholders and staff to define the desired "to-be" state.
   
 v)  Analysis and Synthesis:

- analyze the collected information, and possibly request additional information

- track license agreements and associated license keys, including processes and procedures for renewals, including processes and procedures for renewals.

 - identify key areas That would achieve the greatest return for future investment, such as areas that may have significant license compliance issues.

 

- develop the high-level process, staff and technology requirements to achieve  the "to-be" state for key vendors – IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, EISRI, etc.

- prepare the preliminary findings and set of recommendations including a rough road map for implementing each

vi)   Report: Revise the preliminary work from the previous task into concise findings, recommendations and roadmaps to achieve the greatest return for the "to-be" state.
      

vii) Project Close-Out: Conduct specific project close-out tasks including assessment of project outcomes versus objectives.

Perform other tasks as assigned.
Preferences
-  At least 3 years related experience in License Compliance Management.
- Familiarity with Licensing business models.

- Project Management Experience
