Location:  Albany, NY

Duration: - - 15 Months

 

Job Description:

 

This new initiative will be composed of a team of 4 consultants to assist the agency in utilizing the NYS Financial System (SFS) with developing budget and fiscal reports.

 

The ETL Developer will participate in a team approach to:

 

• Capture and load source system data into the data warehouse
• Develop, test and implement program logic for ETL development.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Ongoing design, development, maintenance, and support of Informatica ETL workflows;
• Efficiently implementing team developed ETL technical specifications;
• Developing and maintaining logical and physical dimensional data models for Data Warehouse/Data Mart;
• Optimizing ETL data load jobs to improve performance and automate them and identify and create solutions to improve system performance and availability;
• Following agency standards to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis and coding as performed by the ETL process;
• Writing clear ETL process and data modeling documentation
• Investigating and resolving ETL data loading and/or data integrity issues

 

Mandatory Requirement:

 

Experience in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer- The Authorized User may seek Specialists in the following areas (list is not exhaustive):

- Backup and Recovery

-Security

 

• Candidates should have at least 60 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:
• Demonstrated experience in Oracle environment designing and developing ETL processes using ETL tool Informatica
• Demonstrated hands-on ETL development experience in Oracle environment with Informatica 8.x or higher
• Demonstrated hands-on development experience using ER Studio and dimensional data modeling
• Demonstrated hands-on ETL development experience using UNIX scripting and/or command language
• Demonstrated ETL development experience in an Oracle environment writing SQL and PL/SQL coding
• Demonstrated ETL development experience working with HIPPA data requirements
