Role:  - SAN Administrator - - # 118

Location:  Albany, NY

Duration: - - 24 Months

 

Job Description:

 

• Perform storage configuration tasks for our current SAN storage arrays which consist of a CX300, CX3-80 and two CX4-120s.

• Coordinate installation and configuration of our new storage arrays, VNX5500 and VNX5700.

• Move data from our old storage arrays to the new storage arrays.

• Monitor storage and proactively plan for capacity and performance.

• Perform backup and restore functions using Networker tape and Avamar.

• Continue our migration of backup jobs from Networker tape to Avamar.

 

 

Mandatory Requirement:

 

- Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications

- Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions

 

• Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:
• Experience in SAN Administration
• Experience with configuration and management of EMC storage arrays
• Experience with LUN configuration and design
• Experience with EMC Avamar or Networker backup solutions
• Experience using software such as Microsoft Visio to produce technical documentation
