US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Hot Req :: AIX System Admin :: F2F interview

Position :  AIX System Admin

Location : San Francisco or Fairfield, CA

Duration:  16+ months

Ideal candidate will have good experience with AIX 6.1 and with Perl or Shell scripting.  Client will require a F2F interview after the phone screens so candidates who are located in the SF Bay Area is preferred.  Candidate must also have very good communication skills

 

Our client, a leading systems integrator for Cisco, VMWare, Netapp, Citrix and HP has hired Vivo to help find an AIX Systems Administrator for a long term contract to Install, configure and support AIX on Dell Hardware.

• AIX System Administration,
• Understanding basics of OS Administration and Support.

• Build out of AIX 6.1 OS Cisco Hardware
• Add storage, user administration, user creation, changing out ID cards adding more memory, etc.

• Understanding of VIO basics, HACM and scripting.

• Troubleshooting and change management.

 

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of UNIX System Administration Experience

• This is specific for a project to install, configure and support AIX Operating System.

• Knowledge of HMC's, NIM and VIO required.

• Strong scripting skills in 2+ of shell, PHP, Perl, Python (shell, Perl preferred).

·         Articulate with good writing skills, organized, experience with conflict resolution and good teamwork.
