Position : Sr. SQL DBA
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 6 to 12 months+ (most likely will be extended)
EAD,GC or Citizens only ….!!!!

*The client only wants to review candidates with 8+ years of SQL DBA experience.

| Installation, configuration and upgrading of SQLServer server software and related products. | Must Have |
| Evaluate SQLServer features and SQLServer related products. | Must Have |
| Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. | Must Have |
| Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain logins, users and roles, assign privileges). | Must Have |
| Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. | Must Have |
| Setup and maintain documentation and standards. | Must Have |
| Plan growth and changes (capacity planning). | Must Have |
| Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support, when required. | Must Have |
| Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams. | Must Have |
| Interface with MicroSoft for technical support. | Must Have |
| Good understanding of the SQLServer database, related utilities and tools. | Must Have |
| A good understanding of the underlying operating system. | Must Have |
| A good knowledge of the physical database management system design. | Must Have |
| Ability to perform both SQLServer and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. | Must Have |
| Knowledge of ALL SQLServer backup and recovery scenarios. | Must Have |
| A good knowledge of SQLServer security management. | Must Have |
| A good knowledge of how SQLServer acquires and manages resources. (Locking) | Must Have |
| A good knowledge SQLServer data integrity. | Must Have |
| Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. | Must Have |
| A sound knowledge of both database and instance performance tuning. | Must Have |
| Must have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators. | Must Have |
| Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. | Must Have |
| Setting and tuning system parameters. | Nice to Have |
| Tuning the operating system, network, and transaction processors to work with the database. | Nice to Have |
| Enabling the database to work with storage devices and storage management software. | Nice to Have |
| Understanding of the differences between VM, shared, multi-instance and dedicated environments | Nice to Have |
| Interfacing with any other technologies required by database applications. | Nice to Have |
| Installing third-party DBA tools. | Nice to Have |
| Hands on experience with SQLServer monitoring | Must Have |
| SQLServer Cluster experience | Must Have |
