Job Description
Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) acts as liaison between IT and business functions, to help build solutions that help client operate more effectively and efficiently. Solution focus areas include supporting features for Client portals including understanding the Order to Cash process using Oracle EBS. Business Analyst will be responsible for managing demands as per prioritization defined across global business functions. He/she will drive approved projects through the standard IT SDLC and will work closely with global IT counterparts.
Candidate will primarily be working on Portals enhancements but can include EBS enhancements depending on demand prioritization and feature request, with integration with EBS and SFDC.
- Internal client liaison, managing project and enhancement requests as per priority
- Understanding of Order to Cash, Service Contract, Install Base.
- Experience custom Portal functional design, writing system requirements for portals.
- Exposure to integrations with data exchange between different systems.
- Background in Electronic Data Integration (EDI) is desirable
- Knowledge on Customer Entitlement and License Management is a good to have..
- Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases
- Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshops
- Lead Collaboration Projects through the VMware IT Standard Development Lifecycle
- Facilitate review sessions with functional owners and end-user representatives
- Perform gap analysis: as is vs. to be
- Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management
- Writing and reviewing QA and UAT test scripts
- Managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff
- Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements
- Comfortable working with Business teams and IT teams to help drive acceptable solutions and mitigates.
- Independent self motivated, ability to learn on the job.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years Business Analysis experience
- Minimum 2 - 3 years experience as Business Analyst working with Oracle (OM, SC, IB, INV and TCA modules – OM and/or SC preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience preparing as-is process documentation, to-be process documentation, and performing detailed gap analysis
- Well versed with AIM/SDLC/Agile Methodologies
- Familiarity of some key tables for OM, SC, IB, INV, and TCA modules would be a plus.
- Comfortable with non-complex SQL queries
- Must have experience preparing end-user documentation and conducting end-user training
- Business Analysis experience in a high-tech (preferable software) company highly desirable.
- Project Management experience a plus
