Position           :Ruby Developer

Location           :Dublin, OH

Duration           :6 + Months.

- Must have prior experience with object oriented programming.
- If candidate doesn't have Ruby experience then Python or Perl would be the next best thing.
- Familiarity with text editors to program such as SciTE (Scintilla Text Editor IDE), JEdit and Textpad.
- Expertise in how to create objects and classes, Modules, Namespaces, Ruby variables, Data types, Operators, Ruby Symbols, Arrays, Hashes
- Experience in plug-in development and integration in Ruby on Rail applications. This is using rubygems to code more efficiently.
- Expertise in working with different databases such as Mysql and Oracle
- Familiarity with Tortoise SVN or other version control software. This is used to source/version control our Ruby code base
- Experience using open-source tools such as Filezilla and Beyond Compare.  Really looking for someone who can go out and 'find' a solution to a problem.
- Some experience with VB script would be a bonus. We have some code developed in this language.
- Needs to know when to automate something vs. leaving a process as is. This is very important!
