Skills Required and Job Description:

The ideal candidate will need:- Unix OS and Information Security knowledge and experience Technical Analyst Maturity Strong Linux and Unix Cryptography Background Third level Information Security Experience Qualifications and skills: Experience in Unix operating system administration and security to include the following capabilities: Installing, operating and maintaining UNIX systems (Linux, AIX, HP-UX) Unix Scripting (shell, Perl) Understands system auditing Server hardening techniques, tools, and vulnerability prevention and detection Experience with or ability to apply the Information Security discipline and multiple platform technology considerations in large, complex organizations. Other required skills:- Knowledge and understanding of Cryptography and how to develop information technology solutions using secure communication protocols (SSH, SSL, SFTP, FTPS, for example). Experience with systems and project development methodologies and project life-cycles Willingness to provide consulting for various project efforts to handle or facilitate Unix Security related issues. Plus but not required: Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Virtualization and Hypervisor technologies (VMware, VIO) Administration and security of WebSphere and its components Administration and security of Apache/HIS High level knowledge of Windows Active Directory
