Job Title: CISCO Voice/UC Engineer –
Location: St. Louis, MO or Commack, NY
Duration: 6 Months
I. Description:
Voice/UC Engineer is responsible to research, design, and develop technical criteria for the strategic implementation of unified communications solutions; as well as provide leadership on projects to ensure the efficient functioning of corporate voice, video and unified communications systems. This includes, utilizing expertise to develop standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with best-practice and regulatory guidelines. Will work with a group of approximately 2 -4 technical solutions engineers and will focus on the development of end-to-end services based on documented business requirements, producing high quality, efficient, cost effective, secure, and resilient solutions.
II. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure Infrastructure Service Designs are produced to meet and fulfill the documented business requirements, technology architecture and Infrastructure Service Strategies.
· Produce and maintain all aspects of IT specification, including the overall designs, topologies and configurations of the infrastructure environment, infrastructure applications and data, and the technical design documentation of all IT systems.
· Translate solution requirements into logical and physical designs, taking account of business needs, target environments, processes, performance requirements, existing systems, architecture and services, and any potential safety-related aspects.
· Identify suitable applications, services and products, together with their environments, to meet solution needs within the required planning timeframe.
· Assess and identify weaknesses in network, application, software, and operating system implementations and provide guidance to mitigate gaps.
· Ability to develop proof-of-concepts to establish necessity, effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
· Perform investigative analysis at the request of management.
· Assist in the development of budgetary UC proposals and financial analytics in support of the company's annual fiscal budget cycle.
· Provide level-3 support when a technical issue has far exceeded the technical capacity of the Operations group and requires resolution.
· Ability to redesign an existing service capability in lieu of changing business requirements.
III. REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have 5+ years Cisco voice / UC engineering experience.
· Must be CCNP certified or above.
· Must have in-depth experience of Cisco UC concepts, topologies, products, and assessments.
· Must have the willingness to learn and be an intuitive thinker.
· Must have strong communication and documentation skills.
· Must have the ability to drive a project from start-to-completion with limited direction.
IV. PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Cisco Communications Manager 8.x, Unity Connection 8.x, Unity Unified Messaging 7.x/8.x.
· Multi-party videoconferencing w/ in-room solutions or desktop video solutions.
· Have upgraded Cisco Communications Manager from 8.x to 9.x in an enterprise environment.
· Implementation of Cisco Presence Server & Jabber 9.x integration.
· Cisco CCX 8.x & scripting.
· Tandberg C-Series endpoints and Codian Gateways.
· SIP trunking and QoS.
· Implementation of WebEx Social.
Job Title: Cloud Technician
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: 6 months
This position will act as a support team lead for our incubated cloud capability. This is a working lead position.
General Summary:
The Senior Cloud Technician is responsible for the administration, performance, and operation of the Internal Cloud. This position, performs the functions of a Cloud Technician, and assists in the establishment and promotion of standards and procedures regarding access methods and time, security validation checks, and operating policies. A Senior Cloud Technician is expected to: respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problem equipment or software installations, coordinate moves, configure changes, and escalate problems they are unable to handle in a timely manner. This position will require good communication/customer service skills. There will be daily interaction with our clients both internal and external to a site. This position will be required to provide status reports, problem summaries, and project summaries as necessary.

• Possesses an expert level knowledge of Windows and the tools and processes required by the role
• Functions well in large-scale, complex, cross-functional / platform environment
• Performs well individually, but also partners well with others
• Shares knowledge, coaches and mentors others in area of expertise

Essential Functions:
• Utilize Internal Cloud Troubleshooting skills to respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problem equipment or software installations, coordinate moves, configure changes, and escalate problems they are unable to handle in a timely manner.
• Assists in the establishment and promotion of standards and procedures regarding access methods and time, security validation checks, and operating policies.
• Produce or assist other IT staff, Training, or Business partners in the production of user guides and standard operating procedures for the LAN and workstations.
• Provides technical assistance to Internal Cloud associates from other sites.
• Recommends, schedules, and implements systems modifications to reduce user problems.
• Has responsibility for multi-department, site-specific projects or sub-projects and may lead or direct the work of others.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years Experience with similar toolsets and automation: Linux Java, tcserver, Mule ESB, Apache httpd, SSL, Big IP, web services Shell, python, mysql, workflow/orchestration, general automation
• General knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems
• BS in IS or related field or equivalent experience
• Good communications skills – previous customer service experience preferred
• Customer Service skills, good oral and written skill, ability to listen
• Project Management , ability to plan projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Scheduled on-call and some travel maybe required in this position.
• Continued enhancement of Technical Skills through continuing education/seminars and interaction with other IT disciplines
