US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Need E - Commerce / Magento Lead

I would like to know your interest about an exciting opportunity that we are currently working on. The role description is as follows:

 

Title: E-commerce /Magento Production Support Lead

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 12 Months

Rate: Open

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:  

·         Production Support experience of mission critical applications is necessary.

·         Production support experience in an E-commerce environment will be an added bonus.

·         At least four - five years of production support experience. Bachelors degree is required.

·         The e-commerce environment is on a platform called Magento.

·         Preference would be to have a production support person experienced in Magento.

·         However, we understand that it will be difficult to find that skill in the market place.

·         PHP development and production support experience is the next best skill set.

·         Experience with onsite offshore teams in the context of production support is a must.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

·         Experience with the Agile development process

·         Hands on experience in the IT department of a retailer Web site development and maintenance experience

·         Experience with content management and/or content management tools exposure to Atlassian products like JIRA, Bamboo, etc.

·         Industry experience in the retail sector prior to IT experience will be considered a bonus

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Lead the Production Support Team at the client site in Los Angeles. The team has onsite and offshore resources.

·         Build a relationship with the client that will sustain the production support efforts.

 

Expected Deliverables:

·         Manage an onsite/offshore team of 10-12 resources (2 onsite, rest offshore).

·         Maintain a relationship with the client that sustains the engagement.

·         Provide status reports to the client.
