Position: SQL Server DBA

Location: Dallas, TX.

Duration: 6 – 12 Month Contract to Hire

 

NOTE: US Citizen/Green card Holders only

 

Required:

·         Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

·         Minimum 5 years with SQL Server Database Administrator.

·         Experience in a fast paced enterprise environment managing a large quantity of servers and databases.

·         Knowledge of SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012.

·         Experience with database availability, clustering, log shipping, and mirroring.

·         Working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, IIS, SharePoint, and other related technologies.

·         Ability to perform SQL Server upgrade and migrations in a mission critical environment.

·         Experience with SSIS deployment.

·         Demonstrable performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting experience, including TSQL and stored procedures.

·         Thorough knowledge of SQL Server security.

Duties:

·         Support production and development environments.

·         Perform backup, database integrity checks, and other database maintenance tasks.

·         Perform data extraction and transformation.

·         Perform database performance tuning.

·         Knowledge of web technologies such as IIS, and SharePoint and their interaction with databases.

·         Manage large SQL Server clustered environments.

·         Support a large and diverse range of servers.

·         Proactive problem identification and resolution.

·         Perform on-call duties.

·         Willingness to work on other technologies besides SQL-Server
