Role: SAP BW consultant

Location – Houston, TX

 

SAP BW consultant

 

• 5 Plus years of Experience is Mandatory.
• End to end BW upgrade experience
• Thorough knowledge about data sources, process chains, DTPs/info packages and other BW objects (like open hub, APDs, Cubes, DSOs, info sets etc.).
• Should have knowledge on BEx reports' migration
• Knowledge about upgrade packages is beneficial.
• Should be able to plan and handle all the following activities – pre upgrade, prepare/actual upgrade, post upgrade and testing
• Pre-upgrade

a. Application checks/ cleansing and Upgrade Preparation

b. Technical checks and Upgrade preparation

c. Agree on result         

• prepare/actual upgrade

a.    Last checks

b.    PREPARE / UPGRADE

• post upgrade

a.    Application Post checks and functional tests

b.    Technical post Steps and Go-Live Preparation

• Testing

a.    Application testing

b.    Technical testing

• Basic data base knowledge
• Basic ABAP knowledge is beneficial.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
