Sr Business Analyst with GUI and CRM exp

Summary
We would need more of the API/Data-driven analyst than GUI-oriented, however this one is going to be more focused on our Profile functionality so be looking for someone who has worked with CRM systems or those with a fully-featured profile management system. The Business Analyst will translate business requirements from the commercial product team/business into technical specifications for projects of varying sizes. Apply in-depth understanding of the how the system is currently structured and operates to ensure functionality requested in business requirements works with overall design.
Responsibilities
· Ensure specifications are documented effectively ensuring highest productivity of programming staff.
· Create Functional Design Document (or equivalent) from the business requirements that specifies how users will interact with the software and how the software will respond.
· Create detailed use case models based on business use cases created by the Product Planners. Bridge to architecture and development for requirement clarifications and use-case realizations
· Model data and processes. Identify & document process flow for problem research/resolution, communication with customers & other groups; define business relationships.
· Work closely with the Project Manager and assist with the project planning. Assist with project planning by providing estimates for BA deliverables, identify stakeholders/impacted groups, contribute to implementation planning, product demonstration, coordinate Change Control. Communications management.
· Conduct functional analysis of existing systems – identify and recommend functional enhancements
· Work closely with User Experience (UX) team in the definition of wireframes and screens to ensure business and functional requirements are being met.
· Assist QM by reviewing test cases, preparing test data and defect clarification.
· Review and (in some cases) design general XML schemas
· Review materials that go into Functional Manual/User Manual prepared by Technical Communication and Training resources.
· -Create or update SPE's (Small Project Enhancement documents)
Problem Resolution / Trouble Shooting Responsibilities:
· Conduct analysis of customer problem reports to determine if bug/fix or design issues and recommend solutions.
· Independently research problem reports and resolve issues or provide suggested solutions and key analysis findings to software engineering. Analyze issues reported to determine if the system is functioning per carrier and industry requirements; evaluate against Automated Rules Data Application specifications, Industry defined resolutions, tax regulations, and Functional documentation; determine and recommend work-arounds to customers; recommend data filing changes to carriers; provide diagnostics & examples to direct software fixes needed to meet functional requirements.
· Recommend changes to relevant governing industry bodies or carriers for how to correct poorly structured or inaccurate data that they have sent.
· -Create reports to track customer issues
· Participate in customer meetings to review problem reports
· Work directly with customers on problems and requirements, sometimes through on-site meetings with customer to walk through and fully understand customer business process
· Develop trouble-shooting/Support documentation
· Resolve problem Tickets and triage escalated issues
· Create Root Cause tickets where resolution requires changes to business logic and/or the programming interface
· Train and mentor others as needed
Required Skills
· 7 – 10 years of experience as a BA (either 10 + in general or 7 years in Travel GDS industry including the mastery of the database or functional applications.)
· Experience with Requirements management tools like HP, Extreme Planner.
· Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong ability to facilitate discussions and negotiate and build consensus.
· Strong understanding of product structure and functionality.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships in the product and technical teams.
· Inquisitive with self-sufficient research skills; excellent attention to detail; creative thinker.
· Proven ability to prepare and deliver technical and functional presentations to Senior Management, product teams, customers and others.
· Proven ability to learn and apply new methods/skills/technology to improve existing processes.
· Detailed knowledge of defect tracking and requirements management tools .
