US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Urgent Need: Oracle DBA, OH

Position: Oracle DBA

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:

·         Experience in Replication, Clustering, and other methods of disaster recovery.

·         Experience in RAC, RMAN, tuning, and preferably GoldenGate.

·         Performs data modeling, logical and physical database design. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures.

·         Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and backup and recovery.

·         Executes database software installation, database creations/configurations and loads.

·         3-5 years experience working with an application development team.

·         Minimum 5-7 years of work experience as a Database Administrator.

·         Solid skills in database performance factors, DR, monitoring tools and tuning procedures.

·         Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures.

·         Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performance.

·         Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes.

·         Strong skills in maintenance tools and procedures.

·         Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent.

·         Able to work co-operatively with global technology teams as well as comfortably working on their own.
