US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Need Visual Basic Development & Support @ OH

We currently have an opportunity for a Visual Basic Development & Support with a major company located in OH.

 

Job Title	:	Visual Basic Development & Support
Location	:	Columbus, OH
Duration	:	7+ Months
Job Description	:	Responsible for Steady State support including break fix and enhancements. This will include: • Proactively monitor the HP Service Center for Incidents • Actively coordinate the resolution of issue • Participate in the On Call Support – 7 days a week, 24 hours a day • Gather requirements for enhancements • Ensure that technical documentation is created and maintained • Participate in development, testing, quality control, and change management • Work with technology shared services partners (e.g. ETO, Information Security, Procurement, etc.) to ensure that direct channel and enterprise requirements are met • Act as liaison with functional partners • Deliver on time, on budget, and with quality • Regularly and proactively update partners on the status of delivery • Actively engage with service providers to ensure optimal performance Required Qualifications / Skills • Visual Basic Developers familiar with vb.net platform, SQL, and C# • Web experience is a plus asp.net • Strong debugging skills • Ability and desire to figure things out without a lot of documentation • Strong communication skills Desired Qualifications: • Retail background a plus • Knowledge of Epicor a plus
