US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Requirement for SOA Tester in Miami, Florida

Position               : SOA Tester

Location               : Miami, Florida

Duration              : 6 months contract to hire

 

The SQA Test Automation Engineer works to ensure that the application being tested meets specified requirements. This person will perform complex architectural analysis as well as programming activities. In addition the person will responsible for development and maintenance of the Automation Framework / Network that will be used to test the application.

Job Description:

Understands software quality: best practices, test strategy and

planning, test case deployment and execution, test data, defect

tracking, and test automation

Responsible for ensuring the conceptual integrity of the system

ensuring that the application and application architecture meet the

technical requirements defined by the project team

Ensure minimal duplication of efforts through maximum reuse of

defined solutions; to that end, practices automation development

efficiency, maintainability and reusability

Expected to research and implement tools with the goal of

increasing automation development quality and productivity

Experienced at decomposing requirements and developing test

automation for projects of simple to high complexity

Develops scripts according to the coding standards

Provides accurate implementation level estimates and delivers on them

Recognizes issues (e.g. with requirements, design, implementation, etc.) and works with appropriate resources to address and resolve

Seeks and understand big picture/business cases behind

individual requirements

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' experience with automated testing frameworks and development of test scripts used for cross platform Windows and MAC application testing

Experience testing Qt/C/C++ based applications on both the PC and MAC platforms

Understands the basic principles of software development and applies them to developed test script code as well as test framework code

Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, shell, etc)

User level experience interfacing with databases (SQL, MySQL, etc)

Experience using automated testing tools such as Squish, TestStudio, Eggplant, etc

Experience using VMWare or any other virtual computing platform

Experience testing FDA regulated applications a plus
