Job Description
Senior Java developer. Individual will be working with a team of highly motivated and technical back end Java developers alongside a team of front end ActionScript/Flex tool developers to help develop and maintain content management publishing applications and services used to support CNN.com and other Turner digital property websites. Specifically, individual will leverage their expert development skills to develop and maintain Java components and services associated with these applications, along with troubleshooting and addressing operational issues discovered out in production systems. Individual will also work closely with both technical and product management to assist with sprint planning and providing estimates for new feature development work.

 

Qualifications:
6+ years of industry experience and 3+ years Java/Spring experience. Strong understanding of modern software design principles, agile development methodologies and OO concepts. Experience developing internet-based enterprise server-side production systems.

Experience with NoSQL database, front-end ActionScript, Flex, html5, JavaScript skills a plus. Minimum Education: BS in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
