Job Title: Cisco Support Engineer
Duration: EXPECTED TO BE 12 MONTHS CONTRACT WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION
Location: Southfield, MI,USA.

Job Description:

Top Ad Hoc Activities
• Obtainment of utilization statistics and other logs for non-incident related activities
• Setting up sniffers and pulling sniffer logs for engineers who are working on new technology deployments
• Security related activities:
- shutting down of ports of infected desktops
- query of proxy and other logs in support of security incidents
• ASG monthly validation
- this activity was agreed to as part of a monthly process, but due to sensitivity of activity, is not documented in contract or SOP
- originally only 4 ASGs existed. Now number has increased to 24 because of Atlas and now activity takes 10-20 hours of a tier2 resource
• Researching, developing specialized instructions, and updating documentation for new "production" locations that have been turned live without proper turn-up.
Skill set:
Expert level skill on Cisco platforms (specifically 6500, 4500, ACE, GSS, Ironport Proxy).
Expert level skill on Juniper ASG platform
Expertise on Vitalnet, NetQos, APCON, Infinistream (sniffer trace analysis).
