US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Data Warehouse Architect II Albany, NY II 24 Months

Rate: $ 62/ hr C2C or $ 56/ hr W2 

Job Description:

Analyze and re-engineer the State Aid Formula Modeling process which is used to Project State Aid payments to schools based on varying factors. Provide a cost/benefit analysis of possible replacement solutions.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

•  Work with SA analyst to understand existing high level functional requirements of the SA modeling process.
•  Review and analyze the existing StateAid (SA) modeling process.
•  Review COBOL programs/WFL configurations to gain an understanding of how the existing SA modeling process works.
•  Investigate alternative approaches for replacing the Unisys mainframe-based SA Modeling process.
•  Architect/propose new SA Modeling solutions using custom software, COTS products, BI tools, etc.
•  Develop cost/benefit analysis for proposed solutions.
•  Demonstrate proof of concept prototype for proposed solutions.

Candidates should have at least 60 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

Experience with Data Analysis utilizing Financial Modeling/Forecasting tools or principles.

Experience using Business Intelligence and/or Reporting Tools to produce parameter driven reports.

Experience with Data Warehouse design and implementation.

Experience with UNISYS WFL/ Cande to script batch jobs.

Experience in COBOL writing and debugging application program code

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

Please note that our client does allow Skype/remote interviews.  However they reserve the right to require an in-person interview.
