Position Name: Database Developer

Desired Start Date: ASAP                  

Anticipated End Date: 12/31/13

 

Position Description:

Physical database tables and design, works with system administrator and uses data dictionary software packages to ensure data integrity and security, recovers corrupted data and eliminates data redundancy. Uses tuning tools to improve database performance. Works with the application development teams, creating/modifying stored procedures, focusing on the back-end portion of data storage considerations and performance considerations for application systems being developed.  Excellent communication skills, data analysis, extensive utilization of DTS/SSIS for data transformation and loading of data, understanding of data modelling concepts, ability to understand and work with complex data models

Skills Required:

·         MS SQL 2005 Certified (preferred)

·         Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 5 years of related work experience.

·         Microsoft SQL Server application development

·         Microsoft SQL Server administration

·         Expert SQL developer experience

·         Extensive utilization of DTS/SSIS for data transformation and loading of data

·         Expert level knowledge in SQL programming

·         Writing stored procedures

·         Understanding existing complex data models and experience creating new data models or additions

·         Writing SSIS/DTS Packages
