Position Description
The DTMB/MDOT does not have senior technical state resources to assist the department and team with key new generation projects. Resources are needed with senior level experience that can provide technical support as well as knowledge transfer to the existing team. The resources will report directly to the Administrative Systems Manager. MDOT operations have a comprehensive Information Technology (IT) portfolio of over 150 distinct applications. The DTMB Administrative Systems Section, along with it MDOT business partners, is responsible to provide software maintenance and operations support for the portfolio. Additionally, Administrative Systems section provides resources for new and on-gong development efforts in support of MDOT's Call for Projects. TO Ramp up the DTMB Administrative Section Grant unit systems development team one senior level programmer analyst position is required to complete the development project in a timely manner and also to provide quality customer support.
Skills Required
Application/Software Engineer Senior - Level 3 Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Skills Preferred-Experience Required
| Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Additional Requirements (highly desirable and high priority): •Documented 4 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area" experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise SOA environment including JBOSS Workflow and Drools Business Rules engine. •Documented 8 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") experience developing complex computer systems using Java. •Documented 8 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") experience developing complex computer systems using java IDEs such as Eclipse. •Documented 7 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") experience programming in SQL and/or PL/SQL. •Documented 7 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") programming in Spring Framework 3.0. •Documented 7 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") programming in projects using Hibernate/JPA framework. •Documented 2 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") programming in projects using Jquery Javascript framework. •Documented 5 years (in experiential section of resume, not "summary area") participating as a programmer/analyst in projects using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices. |

Position Description
The application software engineer level 3 will be assigned duties for implementation of new business requirements for the Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) system due to recent legislation with mandated deadline. The payments are made by the Department of Treasury, and only on those public lands administered by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The PILT system governs State of Michigan payments to local units of government in lieu of property taxes for the land owned by the State and administered by the DNR.
Skills Required
Powerbuilder, version 11 • Minimum 5 years developing & deploying clients/server PB applications without PFC. • Minimum 5 years using dynamic datawindows built using MSS tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. • Minimum 2 years with PB9 using OLE to MS-Word. • Minimum 1 year PB11 with OLE MS-Word 2010. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 • Minimum 3 years with DDL & DML. • Minimum 3 years writing stored procedures. • Minimum 3 years writing user defined table and scalar functions. • Minimum 3 years writing table level triggers • Minimum 3 years using linked services.
Skills Preferred-Experience Required: Minimum PowerBuilder level 9 Certified Professional. 5+ years developing Powerbuilder 3+ years using Microsoft SQL Server 2008
