Position: ASP .Net Consultant
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Baltimore, MD
ONLY GC EAD Citizens
Duties / Responsibilities
- The proposed individual would perform 6 months of work over the course of six weeks.
- Work days shall be determined by the DLLR Manager.
The work to be accomplished:
· Provides expertise in the most current principles and practices of architecture data management systems and experience in large system designs, and with data modeling in the information management arena.
· Provides expertise in modeling and organizing information to facilitate support of projects or information architectures.
· Provides guidance on how and what data and process to model. Primarily deals with transition planning from legacy to modern systems by concentrating on information flows, data exchange, and data translation standardization services.
· Develops the structure, methodology and use for major elements of an information technology discipline for use across hardware and software such as data element dictionary, operating system customization user screen definition and use, program development tools and program generators;
· Defines databases including defining user requirements, developing data definitions, data flow diagrams and maintaining the data dictionary;
· Develops logical and physical database designs and ensures appropriate modifications to the design models or schema;
· Establishes initializing procedures and data element naming conventions;
· Advises management in matters related to designated area of specialization to maintain efficient and effective information support functions by recommending solutions or alternatives to problems, new projects and changes in objectives in consideration of factors such as availability of resources, cost effectiveness and overall program policies and objectives;
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
General Experience: At least ten (10) years' experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT systems.
Specialized Experience: At least five (5) years of the required 10 years of experience must be in the direct supervision and management of major projects that involve providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation and transition of large complex system and subsystem architectures. Must have led or been chief architect in major IT implementation efforts. Must demonstrate a broad understanding of client IT environmental issues and solutions and be a recognized expert within the IT industry. Must demonstrate advanced abilities to team and mentor and possess demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master degree preferred.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. At least five (5) years expertise in the following technologies:
a. Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2005/2008
b. Microsoft Visual Basic.NET
c. Microsoft ASP.NET
d. Windows Presentation Foundation
e. Windows Workflow Foundation
f. Microsoft Internet Information Services 6
g. Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5
h. Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
i. Microsoft Visual SourceSafe/team foundation server
j. Crystal Reports.NET
k. Microsoft Reporting Services
