Web Performance
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 7 months contract
Start: ASAP
Interview: will hire off of phone interview
Must-haves
- Prior experience with performance validation of the client side/front end (Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.) for application releases for the client's ecommerce site
- Prior experience identifying performance bottlenecks, suggesting changes, and ensuring that changes are implemented
- Strong communication skills
- Experience partnering with site developers to ensure timely implementation of performance defects/enhancements
- 3-4 years of experience with JavaScript development and performance tuning on an enterprise level site (more so an understanding of the placement of JavaScript on a web

Role
- You will be more focused on JavaScript and how a web page is rendered on the client.
- Responsible for performance validation of the client side (Javascript, CSS, etc.) for application releases the web site.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, suggest changes, and ensure the changes are implemented.
- Work with monitoring vendors, onsite and offshore developers. Also will need to work closely with offshore client side performance engineer to ensure smooth transition of activities between locations
- Partner with site developers to ensure timely implementation of performance defects/enhancements
- Defining and implementing performance best practice changes for client side development
- You will be more focused on JavaScript and how a web page is rendered on the client.
