We are looking to fill a contract opportunity with one of our direct customers and like to check if you have any resources available for the same. Please submit the resume with availability, work status, rate, project finishing/finished date/current location/willingness to relocate etc.

Job Title : Backend Core Java Sr Developer- Can get interviews scheduled for Thursday 

 

Primary Skills : Core Java concepts threading, data structures, file I/O, XML/parsing, etc

Location : Chicago or Bay Area, CA

Rate : DOE, # of Positions : 2, Duration : 6+ months

 

Description :

- 6+ yrs for Sr Back-end Developers
- Core Java concepts ? threading, data structures, file I/O, XML/parsing, etc
- 3+ yrs of experience core Java based applications/tools development using multithreaded components (parallelism, synchronization, contention issues, semaphores etc)
- Understanding of data structures and underlying implementation and issues involved with respect to the optimal use of different data structures in different circumstances etc
- Experience with JDBC (SQL, Transaction Mgmt, ACID, Locking)
- Experience with Network, file I/O, Channels, NIO (a strong plus), buffered I/O, RPC, RMI
- Experience of writing Web services
- Experience of writing MBeans, MQ/JMS, cron jobs and other Unix concepts
- Experience of programming/deploying in a Linux/Tomcat/JBOSS environment
- Experience with Postgree or Db2 or MSSQL (including stored procs)
- Experience in OOAD, JUnit, will be helpful
- Experience working in a Cloud based environment is a plus
- Experience with developing large-volume, performance critical applications and tools such as search tools, network apps, batch jobs, archival tools, backup solutions, document management, content management, algorithmic apps, etc will be a plus
- Experience with performance tuning and profiling Core Java code
- Exposure to Java resource management, garbage collection, JVM design, caching, load balancing, high-availability concepts, redundancy/failover planning, etc is a huge plus

Please note:

• Typical Web skills such as HTML, CSS, Spring, MVC, Hibernate, Ajax, struts, etc are not relevant
