Job Title: Network Engineer Senior
Location: Glastonbury, CT or Troy, or Carry
Duration: FullTime
Skills:
• CCNA, CCNP, ITIL Practices (Service Desk, Incident Management) , Network L2/3 support
• At least 5 years of experience with LAN, WAN and associated devices along with Voice Equipments.
Technical Competencies:
• Cisco Routers, Switches, Voice Equipments, IP Phones, Security Devices, IPS/IDS
Roles and Responsibilities
• Installation, configuration, fine tuning and maintenance of LAN, WAN and Network equipments including Routers, switches, Voice equipment and associated software
• Assisting Helpdesk Level 1 resources with day to day break fix
• Hands on experience with Switching technologies (Vlan, STP, Trunking, Channeling, etc), WAN Links, Routing (Routing protocol like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), Security (Firewall, ACL, NAT/PAT, IDS/IPS), Voice equipment (Call Manager, voice gateway, IP Phone, etc)
• Experience with VPN, Web Acceleration for client access, FTP, SFTP, SMTP services, Web content filtering.
• Coordination & communication with Service Provider and or hardware vendors for problem resolution, bug fixes OR new designs/deployments.
• Required Excellent Communication, Interpersonal & Customer support skills.
• Able to provide Network L2/L3 support for break-fix, assisting with problem resolution. Outage (e.g. notification to Client business and IT users) & Problem management (e.g. root cause analysis and corrective actions) in regards to Network and Voice Infrastructure
• Should have experience with Data Center Management, Racks, EPBX, power equipments, UPS.
• Able to effectively implement scheduled approved changes, confirm and get a customer sign offs.
• Representing Network team, conducting and driving meetings, keeping all Network documents and diagrams up to date.
• Periodically generating and analyzing reports, suggesting best practices/solutions and capacity planning.
• Experience with ITIL/ITSM (Incident/Change/Problem Management) practices
